Community engagement is supposed to translate to people’s voices being heard and taken into consideration for decision making, but why does it feel like decisions are frequently made and the surrounding communities never even heard of the idea in the first place? Why are decisions made about communities without their voices at the table?
A panel of subject matter experts will help to define and crystallize the importance of equitable engagement and discuss what is needed to create a democratic, civic society that offers real representation for all Atlanta residents.
