An intrepid, award-winning journalist, Sean Keenan has covered metro Atlanta for about a decade, focusing primarily on politics and social issues. He became Atlanta Civic Circle’s housing affordability reporter in 2019, when the nonprofit was founded, and has since relentlessly tracked the people and policies that determine where housing is built — or not built — how much it costs, and whether it’s safely managed and maintained. It’s an often depressing beat, but an important one in such a fast-growing metro region. Keenan also writes for The New York Times, Atlanta magazine, and other publications. In his free time, he enjoys playing Texas Hold ‘Em and complaining about the ever-delayed release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
