A former assistant district attorney and chairman of the Gwinnett County Republican Party, Efstration has served in the Georgia House. His district includes the Dacula, Lawrenceville, Auburn, Braselton and Bethlehem areas of Gwinnett. He supported a bill earlier this year to make Gwinnett County school board seats non-partisan, saying it was needed “to remove partisan politics from the classroom.” He also co-sponsored a bill to address recent controversies about fees imposed by tax commissioners, especially in populous Gwinnett and Fulton counties.
