Blue ’burbs joined with red mountains to GOP electoral advantage

Avatar photo by Maggie Lee November 28, 2021November 28, 2021

Here’s how a half-blue state may elect nine Republicans and five Democrats to Congress next year: Maps.

Static map of Atlanta showing City Council districts. District 7 is in far northeast Atlanta. District 6 borders it on the south and reaches to Midtown. District 2 is south of that. District 5 is south of that and reaches south of I-20. District 1 is the next south, then District 12 is in far southeast Atlanta. District 4 is south and west of Downtown. District 3 is north and west of Downtown. District 8 is in far northwest Atlanta. It's bordered on the south by District 9, then below that District 10 and in far southwest Atlanta is District 11.
